Jürgen Litfin is the brother of the first wall victim Günter Litfin. Günter was shot to death while trying to cross the inner German border 2 days after the Berlin Wall was built in 1961. Nowadays Jürgen runs a memorial site for his brother and all other wall victims in a former watchtower, which is now surrounded by residential buildings in Berlin. His life is still closely connected with the events nearly 50 years ago. Berlin has changed since then, but it seems that no time has passed for Juergen, who leads tourists through the watchtower and tells his stories filled with anger and bitterness as if it was yesterday.
